Day 1 — Arrival and Chaweng

Most flights land at Samui Airport (USM) by mid-morning or early afternoon. A prepaid airport taxi to Chaweng costs about 300-400 THB (~8.50-11 USD) for the 15-minute drive. Check in, then spend the rest of the afternoon on Chaweng Beach — 7 km of white sand split into North, Central and Chaweng Noi sections, with water sports operators renting kayaks and paddleboards from around 300 THB (~8.50 USD) per hour. Na Muang 1 is a 5-minute easy walk from the car park; Na Muang 2 needs a 30-40 minute uphill hike through jungle if you want the taller, 80 m fall. Day 1 — Arrival and Chaweng

Same as the 3-day plan: land, transfer to Chaweng (~300-400 THB, 15 min), and settle into Chaweng Beach for the afternoon and evening.

Day 2 — Big Buddha, Wat Plai Laem, Choeng Mon

Visit Wat Phra Yai and Wat Plai Laem in the morning (both free), then continue 10-15 minutes (~150-250 THB) to Choeng Mon, a sheltered northeast-coast bay with calm, shallow water and views of two offshore islets — a good swap for Bophut if you want quieter sand.
