Loy Krathong Beachfront Dinner at SALA Samui

SALA Samui Chaweng Beach Resort marks Loy Krathong on Tuesday 24 November 2026 with a Festival of Light buffet at The Tent, its beachfront restaurant and bar in Bophut. The buffet runs from 6 pm to 10 pm and costs 1,350++ THB (~39 USD) per person. The resort's page does not explain what the plus signs cover, so ask when you book.
The evening has a set order: a Thai buffet at 6 pm, blind Muay Thai fighting and a fire show at 7:30 pm, the krathong competition winner at 8 pm, the floating of the krathongs in the resort's Moon Pool at 8:15 pm and a fire dance at 8:30 pm. Earlier that day, from 8 am to 11 am, guests can make their own krathong, and other guests vote for a favourite. The winner gets a 60-minute massage for two. Hotel guests add the dinner when booking a room, and outside guests contact the resort by phone, Line, Facebook or email.

Beyond the nightlife, Samui's other events are mostly food, classes and resort programmes. Thai cooking classes often begin with a market visit and end with lunch, and some welcome children. Around Chaweng
Chaweng is the main resort town on Samui's east coast, with the longest beach on the island, roughly 7 km of sand. Soi Green Mango, just back from the beach, is the nightlife alley, and Central Festival Samui sits between the beach road and Chaweng Lake. Chaweng Beach Road is one-way northbound and slows to a crawl between 17:00 and 20:00 with taxis, scooters and pedestrians. Most club nights, pool parties and Muay Thai bouts are here, and Pru Chaweng Park hosts public festivals and races.
