About this event

Christmas at Tree Tops is a Christmas tasting menu served in a private dining sala high in a 120-year-old rain tree at Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort on Chaweng Beach. The resort lists live music and two seatings, at 6 pm and 11:30 pm. Its pages give the date as 24 or 25 December 2026, so confirm the night when you book.

Tree Tops has eight private salas in the canopy, with views of the ocean, and the resort presents it as its signature dining experience, one that suits proposals and anniversaries. The tasting journeys are led by the executive chef. Because each sala is private and there are only eight of them, seating is limited, so book early through the resort. Check the festive page for the menu and any dietary options.

Food, workshops, family on Koh Samui

Beyond the nightlife, Samui's other events are mostly food, classes and resort programmes. Thai cooking classes often begin with a market visit and end with lunch, and some welcome children. In the festive season, hotels in Chaweng, Bophut and Maenam stage Christmas Eve dinners, brunches and New Year's Eve galas with beach countdowns and fireworks. Some are open to outside diners and others are tied to a stay, so ask the hotel and book early. Family options include Muay Thai sessions and zipline parks.

Around Chaweng

Chaweng is the main resort town on Samui's east coast, with the longest beach on the island, roughly 7 km of sand. Soi Green Mango, just back from the beach, is the nightlife alley, and Central Festival Samui sits between the beach road and Chaweng Lake. Chaweng Beach Road is one-way northbound and slows to a crawl between 17:00 and 20:00 with taxis, scooters and pedestrians. Most club nights, pool parties and Muay Thai bouts are here, and Pru Chaweng Park hosts public festivals and races.
