BXB Fight Lab, Lamai Beach — Muay Thai Plus a Real Weights Room
Contents

Overview

BXB Fight Lab is a Muay Thai, Western Boxing and strength-and-conditioning gym on Lamai Beach, on Koh Samui’s southeast coast, open Monday-Saturday 07:00-19:30 and Sunday 07:30-13:00. Its own site publishes a fully-equipped strength and conditioning area alongside two boxing rings and open mat space, which makes its weights room one of the few proper strength-training setups on an island where most gyms are hotel amenities first.

Key facts: Muay Thai, Western Boxing and strength & conditioning under one roof · Lamai Beach · Open Mon-Sat 07:00-19:30, Sun 07:30-13:00 · Single class 400 THB (~11 USD) · No gym-only rate — training fee buys the whole facility · On-site café

Training and Facilities

BXB Fight Lab’s facilities page describes a “fully equipped strength and conditioning area with weights, racks and training equipment” sitting beside two boxing rings and open mat space for Muay Thai, Western Boxing and free training. An on-site café sells coffee, protein shakes and packaged meals, and a small shop stocks fight gear and supplements. This is the same weights room our gyms and climbing guide points to as one of only two verified strength-training facilities on the island open to drop-in visitors, alongside Superpro Samui in Chaweng Noi.

The gym’s culture is documented in more depth in Living Muay Thai on Koh Samui, which covers the camp-as-family dynamic BXB Fight Lab and the island’s other Muay Thai gyms share.

On credentials, worth stating plainly per our editorial policy: BXB Fight Lab’s team page lists real competitive records for its Muay Thai and boxing coaches — Kru Lek with over 150 fights and 33+ years coaching, Kru Nott with more than 200 professional fights, and boxing coaches holding Level 3 personal-trainer qualifications and professional licences dated to 2018. Its strength-and-conditioning coach is listed as a personal trainer without a formal certification detailed on the site. As of September 2026, BXB Fight Lab’s own site does not publish an ice bath, a physio or a dedicated recovery area anywhere we could find — facilities pages, personal training pages and the general Koh Samui page all describe training equipment but not recovery amenities — and it does not state an insurance policy or medical-cover arrangement for injuries sustained on site. Ask at the desk before training if any of that matters to you; don’t assume a standard the gym hasn’t claimed.

What It Costs

BXB Fight Lab’s own pricing page lists Thai-baht rates for drop-ins, passes, personal training and multi-week camps, checked September 2026 — VAT included throughout.

OptionPrice
Single class400 THB (~11 USD)
Day pass600 THB (~17 USD)
1 week2,700 THB (~77 USD)
4 weeks8,500 THB (~243 USD)
Muay Thai personal training (1 session)1,000 THB (~29 USD)
Strength & conditioning PT (1 session)1,500 THB (~43 USD)
BXB Fight Camp (1 week, unlimited gym use + 2 PT sessions)8,940 THB (~255 USD)

There is no gym-only or weights-room-only rate. Every price above buys access to the whole facility — rings, mats and the strength area together — the same model our gyms guide describes at Superpro Samui. A September 2026 promotion knocks 20% off adult resident passes; that kind of offer moves with the season, so treat it as a lead to confirm, not a fixed discount.

Getting There

BXB Fight Lab sits at 168 Moo 3, Tambon Maret — the subdistrict that covers Lamai Beach — roughly 30-35 minutes by taxi from Samui International Airport (about 350-450 THB, ~10-13 USD) and 20-25 minutes from Chaweng. Lamai Beach itself is a short walk from the gym.

BXB Fight Lab publishes a full mailing address but no GPS coordinates on its own site. The coordinates on this page mark the Lamai Beach area centroid, not the gym’s exact doorway — search the address above on Google Maps or Grab, or call ahead on the number listed, before riding out on an unfamiliar soi.

Nearby

Lamai gives a training day something to bookend it with. Wat Lamai, the village temple away from the beach strip, is a short drive from the gym. Lamai Viewpoint is a good post-session walk once the legs have recovered rather than immediately after a heavy S&C block. Lamai Beach is close enough for a cooldown swim, and our Lamai area guide covers the rest of the strip for a full day around training.

Padel Paradise, also on Lamai’s main road, is the closest other drop-in sport option if a training partner wants a lower-impact session — three covered padel courts a few minutes from BXB Fight Lab. If an injury does happen, our hospitals and clinics guide covers where to go and roughly what a consultation costs.

Pros and Cons

Having Muay Thai, Western Boxing and a real strength-and-conditioning area under one roof and one price is the genuine draw — a visitor doing a fight-fitness block doesn’t need to find a second gym for barbell work, which is rare on this island. The coaching roster’s competitive records are unusually well documented for a Samui gym, and the on-site café removes one more reason to leave between sessions.

The honest downside: no gym-only rate means a visitor who only wants the weights room still pays the full Muay Thai-adjacent price, and the site’s silence on ice baths, physio and insurance means anyone training hard here is doing so without a stated recovery or medical-cover plan — bring your own travel insurance that explicitly covers combat-sport training, and don’t assume the gym carries cover on your behalf.

FAQ

Where is BXB Fight Lab on Koh Samui?

BXB Fight Lab is at 168 Moo 3, Tambon Maret, on Lamai Beach on the island’s southeast coast. Its own site gives this full mailing address but no GPS pin, so search it on Google Maps or Grab, or call +66 98 012 6360, before heading out.

How much does a Muay Thai class cost at BXB Fight Lab?

A single class costs 400 THB (~11 USD) and a day pass 600 THB (~17 USD), rising to 2,700 THB (~77 USD) for a week and 8,500 THB (~243 USD) for four weeks, as listed on BXB Fight Lab’s own pricing page in September 2026. There is no separate gym-only rate.

Does BXB Fight Lab have a proper weights room?

Yes — its facilities page describes a fully-equipped strength and conditioning area with weights, racks and training equipment beside its two boxing rings. This makes it one of only two Koh Samui gyms with a verified drop-in strength facility, alongside Superpro Samui in Chaweng Noi.

Does BXB Fight Lab have an ice bath or physio?

Not confirmed on the gym’s own site as of September 2026 — its facilities, personal training and general pages describe training equipment but make no mention of an ice bath, cold plunge or physio service. Ask at the desk directly if recovery facilities matter to your decision.

Are BXB Fight Lab’s trainers certified?

Its Muay Thai and boxing coaches have documented competitive records and, for the boxing side, stated Level 3 personal-trainer qualifications and licences dating to 2018. The strength-and-conditioning coach is listed as a personal trainer without a formal certification detailed on the site, and no insurance or medical-cover statement is published for either discipline.
