About this event

Heritage to Horizon is the New Year's Eve programme at Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort on 31 December 2026. It opens with a cocktail reception from 7 pm to 8 pm, followed by a gala dinner with Thai dance performances from 8 pm to 11 pm, and a beach countdown with midnight fireworks and a DJ after-party on the sand until 1 am.

The evening moves through the resort: the listed venues are Guilty and the Lotus Pond Garden, then the Tan Lounge on the beach. Guilty is described as a Peruvian-style dining and drinking venue. The resort stands on Bophut Beach, a short walk from Fisherman's Village. Prices are per person with service and tax added. It is a seated, multi-stage evening, so book ahead through the resort.

Food, workshops, family on Koh Samui

Beyond the nightlife, Samui's other events are mostly food, classes and resort programmes. Thai cooking classes often begin with a market visit and end with lunch, and some welcome children. In the festive season, hotels in Chaweng, Bophut and Maenam stage Christmas Eve dinners, brunches and New Year's Eve galas with beach countdowns and fireworks. Some are open to outside diners and others are tied to a stay, so ask the hotel and book early. Family options include Muay Thai sessions and zipline parks.

Around Bophut

Bophut is on Samui's north coast, and its Fisherman's Village is the old Chinese-Thai fishing settlement, a single street of wooden shophouses beside the beach. Evenings here are about sunset dinners, beach lounges and live music at places such as Coco Tam's, with Koh Phangan visible on the horizon. On Fridays the street closes to traffic for the island's biggest walking street, with smaller editions on Monday and Wednesday. Resorts along the bay run festive dinners and holiday markets in December.
