Halfmoon Festival (2-day edition)
About this event
Halfmoon Festival returns on 2 and 3 December 2026 as a full two-day edition in Ban Tai, Koh Phangan. A beach afternoon at Harmony Beach Club, running from about 15:00 to midnight, comes first. The following night moves to Halfmoon Magic Forest, from 21:30 until sunrise.
The dates come from a 2026 festival schedule on Thaiest, and no Megatix ticket page for this edition has been published yet, so treat the dates as provisional until tickets appear. The age limit is 20 and over. The forest night has custom-built stages for progressive trance, melodic techno, deep house and experimental live acts, and the beach afternoon is the lighter first half of the programme.

Parties on Koh Phangan
Koh Phangan is where Thailand's party reputation comes from. The Full Moon Party fills Haad Rin's Sunrise Beach once a month, with bars playing different music along the sand, fire shows and a start around 21:00. Dates sometimes move a day when the full moon falls on a Buddhist holy day, as with 27 October 2026. Smaller Half Moon and Jungle parties run in forest clearings inland from Ban Tai, and a weekly Friday jungle party runs there too. Haad Rin is reached from Thong Sala pier by shared taxi, tuk-tuk or minibus, and an entry ticket is sold at the beach alleys on the night.
Around Ban Tai
Ban Tai, or Baan Tai, is on Phangan's south coast, about a 10-minute drive south of Thong Sala according to one listing. It is the base for the island's forest parties: the Halfmoon Magic Forest is about ten minutes inland from the Ban Tai strip, and Jungle Experience and a weekly Friday jungle party also stage nights in the trees. On the beach, Ku Club is an open-air venue with resident performers. Wat Khao Tham, a hillside temple and meditation centre, overlooks the coast from above the village. Songthaew pick-ups serve the area.
