The White Lotus borrows its look from five real Koh Samui resorts scattered across the island, not one composite hotel. Here is where each scene was actually shot.

The five stops
We pulled together the confirmed filming locations from the production's own announcements and the coverage that followed. Each resort supplied a different piece of the show, and no two sit on the same coast.

Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui
Laem Yai
This is the resort on screen: the pool villas, the restaurant, the main pool, and the Ratliff family's villa.
Spread across a headland at the island's northwest tip, its villas step down through the trees to a private bay, closed off from the road and quieter than the rest of the trail.

Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort
Chaweng
Its treehouse bar, built into a tree that predates the resort by a wide margin, is where Chelsea first meets Chloe.
At the quiet north end of Chaweng, rooms terrace down a slope toward the sand, away from the strip's bars and night markets further south along the same beach.

Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort
Bophut
Its lobby, driveway and staff car park play the front of house, and its shop stands in for the robbed jewellery store.
Set back from Bophut's fishing-village waterfront, the resort's Thai-style lobby opens almost straight onto the road, closer to the village's night market than to open beach.

Cape Fahn Hotel
Choeng Mon
Its private islets supply the monastery and meditation-centre exteriors, along with a boat shot circling the shoreline.
Built across a scatter of islets linked by a jetty off Choeng Mon, on the island's northeast corner, this is the most cut-off stop on the whole trail.

Am Samui Resort
Taling Ngam
A beachside barbecue and fire show here plays out at the trail's smallest and quietest stop by far.
A small guesthouse on the calm southwest coast at Taling Ngam, facing the mainland across open water, with none of the scale of the other four resorts.

One trail, one wide scale
Line up a night at each resort and the trail runs from a handful of guesthouse rooms to dozens of villas, and from a modest nightly rate to several times that. We read every rate on the same day, straight off each resort's own site.

One island, five coasts
Lay the five resorts on a map and the show's single hotel comes apart: Laem Yai on the northwest tip, Chaweng on the north coast, Bophut a short drive east of it, the islets off Choeng Mon further round the northeast corner, and Taling Ngam alone on the southwest coast. Nothing on screen ties them together but the edit.

Questions before you go looking
Did the whole season film on Koh Samui?
No. The production also shot scenes in Phuket and Bangkok. Koh Samui supplied the resort scenes and these five confirmed locations.
Can we book the villa the Ratliff family stayed in?
You can book at the resort itself, which trades under its own name and takes its own reservations. We have no affiliation with it and take no bookings ourselves.
Is there one White Lotus hotel we can visit?
No. The show's setting is built from five separate resorts on five different coasts, plus locations in Phuket and Bangkok. No single property matches everything on screen.
Are the nightly rates on this page accurate right now?
They are indicative, read from each resort's own site on the date we checked, and will have moved since. Treat them as a rough scale, not a live price.
Which resort has the treehouse bar from episode one?
That is the Singing Bird Lounge, built around a mature tree at the north end of Chaweng, at the resort in our list above.
